There are basically three types of Global divorces. Those done in the Dominican Republic, Haiti or Mexico. If both the husband and the wife sign papers agreeing to the divorce, the divorce is called a Mutual Consent divorce. If only one of the parties signs, the divorce is called a Unilateral divorce.
Both the Mutual Consent and the Unilateral divorces may be done at a variety of speeds. The time difference has little to do with how quickly the jurisdictional courts operate; instead, the difference is based on how fast the paper work is processed here in the preparation process and the expense of comunication.
In a nutshell, speed and number of counseling parties are the two primary factors in determining the cost of your divorce. Many clients require proof of marriage prior to receiving the actual certified decree. We offer a 24-hour Affidavit service. The day after your divorce is confirmed, we prepare a sworn statement, that details the circumstances, date and details of your divorce. It is expressed mailed to you the next business day and is useful while awaiting the completion of the certification process. Unilateral divorces are more expensive - faster divorces are more expensive. The list below shows the cost of the various combinations.
